Cultivate love from within.

love Nov 13, 2020
Love is crucial to cultivate from within, to be able to share with others.

When we experience it ourselves and share it with others it inspires us to move through life courageously.
We fulfill and quince the thirst of our spirit for love and this has a rippling effect on people around us.
Our communities begin to be filled with love, starting within our families, friends and those we spend time with.
Love manifests as that music in the background that you hear, creates a harmonious atmosphere, evoking emotions of all that is meaning to you. Love is the food for our spirit.

“Burn worldly love, rub the ashes and make ink of it, make the heart the pen, the intellect the writer, write that which has no end or limit.” - Guru Nanak.

Cultivating Self-love

love Nov 12, 2020

Love is a calling card, for the aspirations of our soul.
Some equate love to emotional attachment and emotional freedom.
To feel love and give love, you have to start at the centre of who you are. With yourself.

Dr Jeffery Borenstein defines self-love as:
“ Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself, that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth.”
Seeking from others will give evanescent satisfaction, however when we begin to love ourselves within, we experience a profound way to open our hearts and to create a life that is empowering.
We begin to love who we are and accept ourselves as perfectly imperfect beings, loving ourselves with kind eyes.

Here are 8 ways to cultivate and work on self-love:
💕 Develop Awareness. Become aware of our thoughts about ourselves, our reactions, responses and behaviours to others and situations.
💕Practice self compassion and kindness. What would you say to...

Benefits and Health impacts of love.

love Nov 11, 2020

There have been psychiatrists, psychologists and scientists who have studied the biochemical interactions of people in love, in which a mix of serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin move around the brain to produce feelings of elation, warm gushing emotions and promote bonding and calm relationships.

The benefits in couples who have healthier loving relationships include having less strokes, higher rates of survival from surgeries and cancers and less depressive episodes. (A.Powell, Harvard Gazette, Feb 2018).
Blood pressure and heart rate are modulated well when in love, with love having a positive impact on our sympathetic nervous system.
Married couples have a 50% less risk of dying from heart disease than non-married couples and also have shorter hospital stays after a heart attack by 2 days. (Anne Arundel Medical Centre, Feb, 2020).

While the physical benefits are plenty for experiencing the feeling of love, so too are the emotional, mental and...

Love is an important need of the human spirit.

love Nov 10, 2020

Have you ever felt and craved a deep and meaningful love?
Experienced a loss of love, felt loveless or unloved?
Do you wonder how to sustain love and keep the flames of love burning?
Have you experienced the healing power of love?

Love cannot be measured. It is more than the gush of feelings that we feel.
It is unseen, like when someone enters the room and you can’t see it but you know it’s there.
Love is an essential need of spirit.
It has different meanings for different people and is the universal language that has no words.
Many of us have experienced times in our lives where we have felt love is not present, or we have felt disconnected from love.
During those times our hearts feel empty.
This feeling of not being loved lies at the heart and soul of many issues and casts a shadow over our wellbeing.

Would you say love an important need of the human spirit?
